AFL Full Members residing 180km from Melbourne GPO can apply for a country discount on an annual basis. To obtain a country discount, a photocopy of proof of residency (i.e. copy of a council rates notice/utilities bill, etc), will be required at time of renewal (PO boxes will not be accepted). Student Concession As a student’s status can change from year to year, all student concession membership renewals are invoiced as an Adult Membership. Student concession memberships require application on an annual basis with the relevant proof or documentation. Student concession membership applications must be accompanied by a photocopy of a stamped and receipted 2010 enrolment form from an appropriate educational institution or a 2010 student card that clearly states the holder is a full-time student for the entire season. Pension Concession Members holding a pensioner concession card – an aged, single parent, disability or Department of Veteran Affairs card – can obtain a pension discount. A photocopy of the pension card valid for the 2010 season must be provided at the time of renewal. To be eligible for an AFL Junior Membership, members must be over the age of six and under the age of seventeen, as of January 1, 2010. In the first season where the member no longer qualifies for Junior Membership, they will automatically be sent an Adult renewal form. If the member qualifies for a Concession Membership, they will be required to supply the appropriate documentation to verify their application (please see concession information above). An Absentee Membership allows you to place your membership on hold for a season (or multiple seasons if the annual fee is maintained) and allows you to return to the same membership number and status when your circumstances change. To qualify, Members must submit a letter outlining their circumstances as to why they require Absentee Status, along with their renewal application.
